Dr. Christopher Russi, DO
Dr. Christopher Russi is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Consultant in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Russi has 24 years of Emergency Medicine healthcare experience working exclusively at large academic universities and level 1 trauma centers. Dr. Russi has held a myriad of roles in both the Department of Emergency Medicine and across the Mayo Clinic Enterprise. Since joining Mayo Clinic in 2007, Dr. Russi has served as Vice Chair for the Community Hospital Practice Subcommittee, member of the Hospital Practice Subcommittee, and remains an executive officer in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Russi has a background in pre-hospital medicine and served as the research director for Mayo Clinic Medical Transport, served as a flight physician and received an NIH KL2 career development award, leading to a Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science. He also completed the Academic Chair Development Program via the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, the Mayo Clinic Leadership Development Program, and the Mayo Clinic Business Academy via Arizona State University. Most recently, Dr. Russi served as the Chair for Emergency Medicine Telehealth and Innovation charged with developing an Emergency Medicine telemedicine program and was also the Division Chair for Community Emergency Medicine (2nd largest Division) tasked with integrating the financial, operational and personnel of 21 Midwest EDs with the main Mayo Clinic academic campus.
